1. Location:
Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu province in China and has a prominent place in Chinese history and culture, having been the capital of China on several occasions. It is located in the lower Yangtze River drainage basin and Yangtze River Delta economic zone, Nanjing has long been one of China's most important cities.

2. History:
The history of Nanjing stretches back more than 6,000 years to the time of the first homo-sapien activity in the area. At this time, however, Nanjing was little more than a tiny village. Roughly 2,400 years ago, the city that we now know as Nanjing began to tape shape. From the 3rd to the beginning of the 5th Century, six dynasties, including Dongwu, Dongji, Song, Qi, Liang and Chen had founded their capital here. Thereafter the Nantang and early period of the Ming Dynasty also established their capitals here. In 1368, Zhu Yuanzhang, the founder of the Ming Dynasty, changed the name of the city to Nanjing-after which Nanjing became China's political epicentre. The city of Nanjing could be called one of the ancient world's first big cities.
In 1853, the revolutionary army of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom occupied Nanjing and declared it their capital. They renamed the city “Heavenly Capital” and re-unified the area for the next decade.
On January 1, 1921, Sun Yat-sen took the oath of office and became the temporary grand president at Nanjing. He set up his capital here and ended 2000 years of the rule of feudal dynasties in China. After his death in 1925, Sun Yat-sun was buried in Nanjing's Purple Mountain. In 1927, the Kuomintang established Nanjing as the capital of the Republic of China. Today, Nanjing is a well known historical and cultural city in China.

3. Tourist attractions:

3.1 Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum

It is the biggest imperial mausoleum in China, was built as the tomb of Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty and his wife, and has a history of some 600 years. It is located at the southern foot of Purple Mountain. The construction of this mausoleum took 17 years.
In 2003, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, together with the Ming Tombs in Beijing, was listed as a site of World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

3.2 Confucius Temple (Fuzimiao in Pinyin)
It is located at Gongyuan Street on the northern bank of Nanjing’s Qin Huai River. Originally, it was a school in Eastern Jin Dynasty.  The Confucius Temple was established in the first year of the rule of Emperor Jingyou in the Song Dynasty after it was extended.
The  Qin Huai River Scenic Belt has become a tourism and commerce center,  combining culture, tourism and shopping in one place.

3.3 The mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen

Dr. Sun Yat-sen, who is considered the Father of the Republic of China and the forerunner of the Chinese Revolution, is located at the southern foot of Purple Mountain in Nanjing, bordering Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum to the west and Linggu Temple to the east. The construction of this mausoleum began in January 1926 and was completed in the spring of 1929. In 1961, Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum was included on the list of National key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

3.4 Nanjing Museum

It was the first, large, national comprehensive museum, located at the southern foot of Purple Mountain and on the northern side of Inner Zhongshan Gate. It covers an area of roughly 70,000 square meters.  The two exhibition halls (of history and art) in the museum are imitations of the palatial architecture of the Liao Dynasty, and occupy an area of some 35,000-square-meters.

3.5 Zhonghua Gate (Gate of China)

It also known as Jubao Gate in the Ming Dynasty, is the biggest castle city gate among the 13 city gates in Nanjing ancient city, and is also the best preserved and the most complicated castle in the world. It has been listed in the National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

4. Festival

4.1 Climbing The City Wall 2011 (Feb 18)

The day sees all Nanjing local people and their friends climb the city wall to enjoy the beauty of the spring. Before people were able to climb four city gates, Sanshan, Shicheng, Jubao and Tongji, but now only one city gate, Jubao, is allowed to climb. The warm weather and fresh air outside never fail to get your second wind.

4.2 Nanjing International Plum Blossom Festival

This annual festival showcases the plum blossom garden on Purple Mountain in the eastern part of Nanjing, and nearby attractions such as the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Ming Emperor Tombs, the Red Chamber Artistic and Cultural Garden, and the Sun Yat-Sen Mausoleum. Nanjing often gets snow in January and early February, but when the temperature rises a little by late February, the plum trees and other flowering trees put forth buds. There are about 35,000 plum trees to see in the big 101 hectare or 250-acre plum tree garden. There are more than 100 varieties of plum trees.

4.3 Spring Outing Festival

There is a famous old saying in Nanjing, “on the third day of March, the blossom of shepherd's purse is more beautiful than peonies; women wearing the flower will surely have good luck and big fortune”. Local people are used to picking up the blossom of shepherd's purse and cooking it with eggs. It is said to be able to cure headache. Spring Outing Festival has begun its history since the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Residents would hang the blossom of shepherd's purse at doors, stoves and beds, and women were used to wearing it on their head to avoid disasters and illness.

2. Reflection
At first, we didn't how to start the project, we faced many difficulties such as: confusion, misunderstanding the requirement. Moreover, each of us - the group members - has different timetable, hence it was really hard for us to have a common time to meet up. We even had a quarrel before due to a miscommunication. Nevertheless, in the end, we came together, sorted things out and finally agreed on a common date. We tried our best to work in the most efficient way. During the process, we had a lot of private jokes while coming up with our script. It was really fun to work as a group. As a result, it only took us 5 days to finish our project.
We have some tips for you:
1. It is fine to have quarrel working in a group, but the main thing is to come together to sort things out.
2. Don't be too serious. Have some fun!
3. Respect each other
In conclusion, we find that this Chinese project has been very helpful to us. It helps us strengthen our teamwork skill as well as soft skills. At the same time, we become more fluent and confident in front of the camera. Most importantly, our Chinese have been improved drastically, through writing the script in Chinese and learning new words.
